With a reception at the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building, Drexel University’s Center for Weight, Eating and Lifestyle Science — the WELL Center — officially opened this month. The center’s trifold mission aims to develop, test and disseminate new behavioral and technological solutions for addressing obesity and disordered eating. WELL Center Director Evan Forman, PhD, a professor of psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences, welcomed guests to the reception in front of the building’s signature biowall backdrop. The center’s WELL Clinic is set to open in 2018, and will serve the Philadelphia metropolitan area by providing treatments and counseling for those seeking help with poor dietary habits and conditions.
